Office of Research Administration

The Office of Research Administration (ORA) at Villanova University provides service to faculty, staff, and students while protecting the institution in sponsored programs, technology transfer, and research compliance.

ORA Recognizes the PI of the Month

Each month, ORA recognizes a Principal Investigator (“PI”) who contributed positively to the administration of research at Villanova, including both grants administration and research compliance. PIs are nominated for: being proactive, improving processes, collaborating effectively, and demonstrating concern for quality. Recipients receive a small gift from ORA, and recognition to the Chair and Dean of their department/college.

For January ORA recognizes Dr. Amy Fleischer, Professor and Chair, Department of Mechanical Engineering &  Director, Center for Energy-Smart Electronic Systems

Dr. Fleischer is recognized for her dedication, time and effort working with ORA on the management of a complex series of contracts around the ES2 center, involving both industry members and partner universities. As the ES2 Center Director, she has taken an active role in reviewing contract terms with ORA, including reaching out to colleagues at partner institutions for clarification and advice where appropriate. Her thoughtful and collaborative participation in the administration of these agreements is much appreciated.

Many thanks to Dr. Fleischer, and to the rest of the nominees for this month, for your positive contributions to Villanova!
